How I Learned Property Management the Hard Way So You Don't Have To

Last Thursday 8th October 2025, I stood in front of my BNI chapter holding a mini door and an oversized key. No, I hadn't raided a toy store. I was about to deliver the world's most memorable property management pitch. But before we get to the punchline, let me rewind.

Rock Bottom University: Where I Got My Initial Education

Young, confident, and spectacularly unqualified, that was me managing my parents' rental properties. "How hard could it be?" I thought. Turns out, very hard, when the blind is leading the blind. Amateur property management is like performing surgery after watching YouTube tutorials. Before I knew it, I'd made mistakes so costly that I ended up homeless.

Rock bottom teaches you things textbooks can't. And what I learned was this: Property management done wrong destroys lives. Done right? It transforms them.

So I picked myself up, got properly educated, and built MBPG LTD on one mission: No landlord should ever lose sleep over their rental property.

Why I Do This

I've been on the other side and it's still fresh in my mind when I was homeless, living below acceptable housing standards because property management went wrong.
